CRANK HIGH VOLTAGE

What can I say? I loved this movie. Just as good as the first one. So that's pretty much the best indicator to you if you want to see this movie or not.

Chev Chelios returns after 3 months from being scraped off the street after falling from a helicopter, and being an unwilling black market organ donor. His heart has been juiced up with so much CHINESE SHIT that it became invincible, so it was stolen and replaced with an artificial heart that apparently can be recharged with some form of electricity. The only reason why he finally gets up out of his bed of death is because they were about to take something from him that's just a tad more important than a heart.

From this point on chaos ensues. You get everything you ask for. Violence, blood, gore, boobs, carnage, full body tourets, cursing, sex, Amy Smart doing the dirty, Amy Smart being the dirty, porn star cameos, gta-like instances, giant rubber monsters, electricity, guns, and what's a good movie without a twist to make you go W T F? You'll enjoy plenty of wtf scenes throughout. There isn't a dull moment at all. If you ever hate watching supposedly fantastic movies that pretty much it's all about the culmination of one scene than you won't be disappointed. This movie plays like one long scene. No breaks, no letting up, no boring narratives.

Beside the usual stuff and fluff, the cinematography and soundtrack becomes elements that actually push the movie into a whole other level. They whole film is pretty much recorded with an HD-handicam but was post processed, so it feels much more real and less fantastical like movies normally are. The soundtracks sets the mood for each scene. Where you are supposed to be disgusted, you tend to smile. Where you are supposed to be confused, you feel calm like everythings going to be okay.

The only negative I can truly say is that with the first CRANK, I immediatly wanted another round of CRANK. It's one of those films I can watch over and over and still find nuances that keep me entertained throughout. Sometimes each sitting is a different type of experience. With HIGH VOLTAGE I feel very satisfied with the first serving and won't mind the gap until HIGH VOLTAGE's second serving. I don't feel the need to go back to the theaters anytime soon. But overall, it was a great experience.

I must warn you, there will be another. It ends differently for Chev but one can only hope that the madness will continue quite soon. If I had the money, I'd invest in the next film just to have more. You'll get the best experience in the theaters so watch it there if you can. If not, please watch it on a very big screen with huge ass speakers so loud that it will blow a womans clothes off.

Yeah, it's that type of movie!
